Joe Burrow solidified his Heisman trophy worth accolades and powered a surging LSU past Alabama in a massive 1 vs. 2 showdown in Tuscaloosa on Saturday.

Without a doubt the most impressive team in college football this season, LSU remained undefeated and earned its fourth - and most impressive - top 25 win of the season. The victory was the Tigers' first in 8 meetings with Alabama, according to USA Today.

Senior quarterback Joe Burrow turned in a near perfect first half, powering LSU to a decisive lead Alabama never quite caught up to. Burrow, already considered a frontrunner for the Heisman trophy, is running away from the pack in the race to be named the nation's best player.

The victory earned the Tigers the number one spot in the AP poll, with 54 first place votes, according to Fox Sports.
