Local news - Duluth elementary school staff and students find dead body in nearby woods

A class of elementary schoolers and their teacher uncovered a human corpse Friday morning in a wooded area near Lowell Elementary School in Duluth, according to the Duluth police department.
The cause of death is believed to be suicide, and the individual was not affiliated with the school, according to Fox 21.
The teacher immediately returned the children to the school and notified police, according to the Brainerd Dispatch. The students were told that the body was a halloween decoration belonging to a teacher.
Lowell Elementary will make mental health professionals available to speak with students, according to authorities.
