Quarterback Kirk Cousins completed only 14 of 32 passes, throwing for 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions as the Vikings failed to overcome an early deficit Sunday in Green Bay.

The Packers scored all 21 points on three touchdowns on their first three possessions. That hole proved too big to climb out of for the Vikings, despite the defense rebounding to shut out the Green Bay offense and QB Aaron Rodgers on their final 11 possessions, according to CBS.

Standout performances from RB Dalvin Cook (20 carries, 154 yards) and WR Adam Thielen (5 catches, 75 yards) helped Minnesota to within 5 points of the Green Bay lead, but an interception thrown by Cousins on a 1st and goal with just over 5 minutes to play ultimately sealed the Vikings' fate.

Cousins took ownership for the team's shortcomings on the second week of the NFL calendar. "I'm very disappointed in my performance today, it just wasn't good enough... I'll stand up here and take ownership of that," said Cousins according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
