The vikings dropped their second straight divisional matchup Sunday afternoon with a lackluster 16-6 loss to the Bears at Soldier Field.

The Minnesotan offense and vaunted run game was stifled by one of the leagues top defenses. A 2-yard Dalvin Cook rush for 6 points was the only thing separating the Vikings from their first shutout since 2007, according to the Pioneer Press.

The effort marks the second straight interdivisional loss for the Vikings after losing to the Packers two weeks ago. In both games the Vikings offense started out sluggish before waking up too late to make a difference, accumulating only 64 yards in the first three quarters in Chicago.

Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky exited the game with a shoulder injury on the Bears first possession, according to CBS Sports.

Trubisky's replacement Chase Daniel completed 22 of 30 passes for 195 Yards and one touchdown. Vikings counterpart Kirk Cousins threw 27 of 36 for 233 Yards and no touchdowns.
