The University of Minnesota football team improved to 8-0 with a dominant 52-10 win over Maryland Saturday, earning the #13 rank in this week's AP poll.

The 13 overall ranking is the school's highest since 1999, according to Bring Me the News. The Gophers 10-game winning streak dating back to last season is the fourth longest in the nation, tied with Baylor.

Minnesota is one of nine remaining unbeaten teams in the FBS, according to the Star Tribune.

The team's biggest matchup of the season awaits after their bye week this saturday, as the Gophers will host #5 Penn State at TCF Bank stadium Nov. 9.
